For all newbies here, BRS is actually a long run anime from long time ago, it has games, merchandise, fanbase, all u can ask from a GREAT animation & games.

The anime was about girls fighting over their personality and social problems, and the BRS is just their image of struggling , but this one is taking a lot from the games i see... More apocalyptic and action packed.

It was super popular back then, and im super excited to see where this one going

My favorite is if course the ojou sama with a wheel chair as a chainsaw!!!

It's still popular to this day, specially because it showed how artists were able to use Vocaloid (specially Hatsune Miku) back in the day to create not only songs but also complex stories about those songs, like Black Rock Shooter, Mekaku City Actors and more.

Of course she's still an amazing waifu to this day, look at her OG design and you're like HOLY COW, THIS GIRL IS BADASS AF.

This first episode started 10 out of 10 and added alot of PSP BRS version refferences. By "alot" i really mean a HIGH number. Wont spoil you what was refferenced,besides saying that stage name and certain cutscenes were refferenced 100%.

Basically, this is a totally different spin off, of a game which used all 3d models of original to milk some cash. For hardcore anime lovers like us this is blasphemy (No offense) since the uniqueness of the original anime is killed.Feel free to disagree.

The "original" anime is the MMD.

This is an entirely different setting/world. No connection to the past series. Each BRS series are standalone

So incredibly glad there's more people who know about BRS outside the anime. I loved the anime, but the PSP game was just amazing, and the manga based around the game was even better too! Even Innocent Soul was pretty fun as well (There's also a short comedy manga and a similar game, I believe). People who liked the anime are missing on a lot of great stuff

I think so, I have only seen that one stand alone OVA that was made of BRS. That was confusing too, but remember the name from there. Never played games, so I will go with this story as some said this is stand alone story anyway.

half-truth. the entire 'anime' made from BRS franchise, was a mindfuckery till episode 11-12. were it was explained that few of them basicly were playing a good fantasy game in their minds representing what they are going true, so you are not wrong saying it like that, but it's also not the 'complete truth'.

but i stand on the good animations and full of colors, Black Rock Shooter, the anime, basicly showed me how much BRS content there are. They are basicly, the very first 'Vtubeing' or the one of the very first 'Hatsume miku' type of deal animated, and it was actually very enjoyable, if you binge it... or else your head would hurt from confusion xD

Ah I remember being so fanatic to the games a long time ago and still have Figma SP012 Black Rock Shooteer figurine. With this the fanbase will start getting lively haha.
It's great that they finally started to animate the apocalyptic setting from the games.

But let us hope this studio didn't screw up like last time, Azur Lane took 3 months downtime to finish the series, because of fans demand and lack of animation experience.

Disney+ and a massive budget… I think that’s why the CGI is absolutely amazing, if this was made with the same studio that made… Ugh… God… Ex-Arm, this series revival would’ve been a massive failure. I can’t wait for the next episodes!

Night Head 2041 had damn good cgi considering. The opening for it was the best that season too.

Yeah, Disney+ is apparently getting involved in anime. They DID put out Star Wars Visions late last year though.

Not only got involved but I believe this is their first major anime project released in Disney+, Visions doesn't count as it wasn't an original production unlike this one.

I liked what they did there, since it was more closer to original franchise.

This is true, I was worried that Disney was going to ruin BRS... but so far, I am very impressed.

Disney better just give the budget for this anime, they better not get involved and fuck everything up for classic BRS fans, like me.

That's why it takes a while for it to be translated , it's not being released worldwide , even if it's on disney + hence why we have to wait for translators to work on it.
